The Bible is Our Child Training Manual

You know it amazes me how people say and yes I have even said it myself that I wished there was a book on how to raise children.  You know the christian answer is it has already been written.  But one thing the christian seems to fail to say is that you have to look for those answers.  I recently had one of my nieces say that to us and when I said the Bible is the child training book she said well I doubt how to deal with a broken frog is in there.  No, she was right the broken frog was not in there, but the disobedience of playing with it in the first place was in there.   "Children obey your parents..." comes to mind.  The fact that one child came and told what he had done was in the Bible as well.  The punishment is not as harsh when you "Confess your sins..."  We parents need to stop and start asking the author of the Bible what exactly He means.  Start looking at what our children are really doing and why they are doing it.  I recently read and awesome article on a blog about Tattle tailing and how to turn it to good use according to the Bible.  If you would like to read that article please feel free to click the link below

America, remember after the attacks how flags raised around the country. Where brotherly love was prevalint. It should not have tak.en that too wake us up. Don't fall asleep again. Your enemy like a roaring lion is seeking whom he can devour. Don't become his prey.

First Day of School Pictures

I thought it would be fun if this year I took pictures of the kids first day of homeschool.  Jacob then came up with the idea of doing mug shots.  So we all had to look sad when the boards where in front of us.  Of course they then wanted to get on the teachers good side so of course they went and picked a couple of apples.  In the last picture, they took their "mug shots" together and brother asked sister so what are you in for.  Her response was for stealen an apple.
