Lately the Lord has been giving me a lot of different things to blog.  Kinda scary and neat all rolled up into one.  Have you ever seen the stop smoking commerical where the toddler is on the swing and left all along she starts crying cause she lost sight of mommy.  Better yet how many of us mommy's have witnessed our toddler loose sight of us for one min. and to them their world has ended.  Now we new just where they were and we knew they were not in harms way, but for that brief moment they are lost to themselves.  Sometimes it is just a matter of them turning themselves around and seeing that mommy or daddy was right behind them the whole time.  Of course we roll our eyes at them, hug them and assure them we are right here.  I wounder how many times our Heavenly Daddy has hugged us and said I am right here where I always am.  Maybe we are the child that has wondered away from God and now we are wondering how did I get here.  Am I truly saved?  Yes I know I am but how did I get in this much sin.  Well, friend it is you have wondered away from the Father and you must STOP your sin, turn around and go back to where you left the Saviour side.  God's word says in James 4:8 "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.  Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded."  When we stop the sin, ask for forgiveness, and start walking toward God, it isn't long before we find ourselves in the arms of our loving Father.

I also see in Ephesians 6:10-18 we are to put on the whole armour of God.  If we have to put it on that tells me we sometimes take it off.  Have you taken off your armour and fallen into sin?  Now we know we can't take off our salvation, but the other armour can come off, but only if we take it off.  How does the armour come off?  Simply by not reading our bible and praying.  As mommas we have just as much responsibility to be a witness to our children as the daddy's.  It takes prayer, reading God's word and setting the right example.  If we simple read the word that is not enough, the bible wants us to be doers of the word not just hearers only James 1:22-27.  There are also times when we parents have taught through example those things that don't please the Father and that are sins.  We must then teach our children the need for forgiveness.  For many years I have heard it said, "Well once they reach this age it's too late to teach them different"  I want to tell you right here and now that is HOG WASH.  It may be harder for them to learn a new thing and stop the sin but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

I want to encourage you right now.  If you are in sin, turn around, confess it, and run back to where you left you heavenly Father.  I can guarantee He is right where you left Him.

Pigs Fly?!

Yes!  I think pigs are learning to fly.  I have been for about a year ( I know you are thinking A YEAR hence the title)  on a home management binder.  Now I don't know if it is going to work, but I thought it was worth a try.  In my binder is my budget, my couponing stuff, homeschooling, and quite time with the Lord.  Later I am planning to add my special projects that I would like to try, but I thought I should start with the basics and move on as I got use to the ones I have.  So far I have seen what I spent in one month and now know I need to work on lower that alot.  But I am proud that I am beginning to see progress, even if they are baby steps.
