Our Lesson: Michael and Emily learn about how to say I'm sorry and your forgiven after they have an argument.  Michael learned that he should not be mean and break things and Emily learned that our words matter.  Even if someone hurts us we need to hold our tongue and not hurtful words just to get back at someone who has hurt us. Ephesians 4:32 says "Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another"  Something we all need to work on.

Memory Verse: We have a new we are working on.
Psalm 32:7 "Thou shalt preserve me from trouble."

Our Lesson:  Tonight our friend Michael got his cast off his foot.  Michael was afraid of the sound of the tool the doctor was going to use to cut off the cast.  The doctor explained how he asked God everyday to help him do his best. Michael's daddy then suggested that Michael tell the doctor how he broke his leg.  Michael then said that he fell off his bike.  A police officer saw the accident and called Michael's parents and the ambulance.  Once Michael was done with his story the doctor was done taking off the cast and the doctor asked if he would like to keep the cast.  Michael did want to keep the cast as a reminder of how God had helped him.

Memory Verse: "Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath"  James 1:19

Activity:  A fun activity to do and that will teach your toddler/preschooler one of the important parts of prayer is using legos.  The activity is called Count your Blessings - Kids stack Legos and each block they add they thank God for another blessing.  Some blessings might be mommy, daddy, brothers and sisters, ect

Our Lesson:  Tonight our friend Emily shared with us how we are to be slow to wrath.  Poor Emily got splashed with mud from a rude little boy on a bike.  Her mommy kindly reminded Emily that we must remember just like Joseph wasn't treated kindly by his big brothers, God can give us strength and help to be loving and kind.   Mommy then helped Emily to remember  James 1:19 "Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath."  Mommy then told Emily to tell God how she was feeling in prayer.  In this Emily learned two important lessons, first to not be quick to anger and that we can go to the Lord in prayer and He will help us.

James 1:19 "Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath."

When dealing with children I have found that if they are angry, upset, or doing what most children do throw a fit.  Before you can speak to the heart of that child they must first calm the storm within them.  There is no magic switch that does this, it takes them sitting somewhere and calming down enough for you to speak with them.  For many years I thought time out was a bad concept due to some ill advise, I have sense come to a different conclusion.  The Lord did use the time out method sounds corny, but think about it Israel  wandered in the wilderness for how long?  Ok 40 year time out may not be the right answer, but trust me neither is doing something in anger.  Your goal is to reach the child's heart and teach him/her the Godly principles from God's point of view.  Below is a link to a craft called a Calm Down bottle.  I hope you enjoy making it and I hope it helps you as you train your own little ones.  I also would like to make another point sometimes we parents could use the time-out as well before we yell or do something in anger.
I would do anything to turn back time and handle things in a better, biblical manner.  There is absolutely nothing in the bible about having you and/or your child taking a time out and then coming back to deal with whatever wrong needs to be dealt with.  I wish I would have done more training and less yelling and disciplining.  Philippians 2:3 "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."

OUR LESSON:
Welcome to our newest adventure here at PeeWee Club.  These are our newest friends Michael and Emily.  Sunday we learned how Jonah disobeyed God and tried to hid from Him.  Tonight Emily and Michael went on a vacation and was going to sleep in a motel.  Emily learned that just as God knew where Jonah was, God also knows exactly where we are.  We do not have to fear.  God knows where you are no matter where you go.  The Bible says God is always thinking  about you.  "My god will hear me" Micah 7:7 and "Thou...art acquainted with all my ways."  Psalm 139:3

BIBLE WORD WALL:
We are also starting a word wall.  These are words that we want to emphasize and explain a little better throughout the month.  The following words, below are the words for this month and there definations.

#1.  OBEY - to do what you are told right away and with a smile

#2.  DISOBEDIENCE - refusal to obey

#3.  SIN - disobedience to God

#4.  REPENT - being sorry for the wrong you did

Word Wall Thought:  God knows where you are no matter where you go.  The Bible says God is always thinking about you.

"My God will hear me"  Micah 7:7

Memory Verse: "Care one for another"  I Corinthians 12:25

PeeWee Poem:
God wants us
To act this way-
Treat others kindly
Every day.

Today's Lesson: (from the PeeWee Captain book)  Week 5 Let's ask God to help us honor and cherish our family like He wants us to. Let's ask Him to forgive us for the times when we haven't been a godly testimony to our neighbors.  Let's ask Him to help us show His love more to everyone around us- our family, our friends, and our neighbors.

Special Note from Captain Kimberly:
We are starting a new adventurer here in PeeWee ClubOur lesson will be the church activity from the Sunday School lesson the week before.  We will be meeting two new friends named Michael and Emily.  These two friends will have a story for us each week that reinforces the Bible story from Sunday.  I hope you will all enjoy and encourage your child by listening to what they have learned and reviewing with them by the papers they come home with and by this blog page.  I truly am looking forward to this PeeWee adventure.  The month of June we will be studying about Jonah and the whale.

Today's Lesson: (from the PeeWee Captain book)
We talked about what a heritage is.  "We owe God a GREAT BIG "THANK YOU" for the marvelous heritage He has given to us through His Word, through Christians who lived in the past, through those who fought for our freedoms, and for the church leaders who have helped us learn more about Jesus.  Let's thank God for our godly heritage.  He has given to us.

Review:  Last week we talked about how Jochebed left baby Moses in a basket by the edge of the river.  Pharaoh's daughter found the baby and took him in her arms.  She sent Miriam (the baby's own sister) to get an Israelite woman to care for the baby Moses.

PeeWee Club
Ahoy Parents,  Welcome to our little site here. I will be keeping you up to date on what we are learning in the club.  One of the most important things we can instill in our children is a love for the Lord and for His Word.  We begin learning the day we are born and if we are very wise we don't stop till we go home to be with the Lord.  So in our club we emphasize memory verses and review of the verses.  I hope you enjoy our journey and join along as we learn God's wonderful word and apply it to our lives.
