As I sit here tonight a whole lot of thoughts are running through my head. A lot of these thoughts are centered around what I have been reading and trying to teach my sometimes hard headed students (my children) here at home. My wonderful husband also got me to thinking on some of these verses as well and quite frankly I had never thought of these verses in this light before. II Chronicles 7:14 states "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land". My husband pointed out that the first part of that first "If my people" is indeed talking about Israel, God's chosen people, but God didn't stop there He also said "which are called by my name" that is us folks. We Christians are called to prayer as well. In fact, remember God only hears one kind of prayer from a sinner and that is the sinner coming to repentance. So if the country is in the shape it is in it is our fault, yes the Christians fault cause we have not done what our Heavenly Father, Our king has told us to do. Oh and sad to say there is more. If we are not praying for those in authority over us we Christians are the ones that will receive the judgement. Romans 13:1-2 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher power. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation." (judgement). Then Romans 13:7 "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor." God put the authorities that are in power, nothing takes Him by surprise. They have no power except that which is given by God. I Timothy 2:1-2 "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." We are to pray for our leaders! Really sometimes that is hard, but to tell you the truth I am wanting God to fill my heart, soul, and life so much that when I stand before Him I can hear that "Well done" By the way, Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." So do you really think the way America is right now is surprising God, but He may just be waiting on His children to have had enough of their own sin to turn back to Him and start praying. America was founded on, by people willing to brave a whole new world just to have freedom to pray and worship Him. Are you doing that or are you just playing church? I see and hear of all these people buying guns and arming themselves for a coming civil war. Do I think America will come to that yes, but it will be cause God's people are not willing to humble themselves and turn from their sin that they are enjoying way to much. Am I against guns and fighting? Nope, their is a time and a place for both. What I am saying is God, in black and white has spelled out in His word how to turn the country around. Are you willing to do it? or Do you want to play army, play with your sins, play militia, play church? You decide, but beware there is a cost to your decision.

A Conversation with The Father

The Heavenly Father: My Child what is wrong, you seem so distant today?
Child: I am afraid I keep failing you. I don't seem to making any head way down here. I seem to take a step forward and two steps back
The Heavenly Father: Have you been talking to me lately?
Child: Yes, you know I have been.
The Heavenly Father: Have you confessed and forsaken the sins that I point out to you daily?
Child: Yes
The Heavenly Father: Have you praised me even when things where not going right or your way?
Child: Yes
The Heavenly Father: Do you love me, my child with all your heart, soul, and being
Child: Oh Yes Father, my Abba, my ALL
The Heavenly Father: Then calm the storm, look at me, and rest.
Child: But
The Heavenly Father: Calm
Child: I don't understand
The Heavenly Father: You don't have to understand, look at me
Child: Ok what
The Heavenly Father: I am all you need. I will not forsake you. I have heard your prayers and they will be answered in my time and my way. Have no fear little one I am still on the throne and nothing takes me by surprise. Now rest in me and know I AM is here.
Child: Will you hold me awhile? Let me cry it out. Don't leave me. Promise
The Heavenly Father: Yes. I promise.
