To Keep Silent Would be the Crime

CAUTION NOT FOR YOUNG READERS!!!!  ADULTS ONLY!!!!!

Well here we go, again.  Before I start this informative talk about homeschool let me just say I was brought up in a public school setting.  GASP!!  And I was also claiming to be a born again christian there.  GASP!!!  I then decided I wanted to be a teacher so I went to college and got my Associates Degree in Education and started my third year of classes to get the rest of my Education Degree.  So there you have my credentials  in what I am about to say.  As for homeschooling I have been doing that for 15 going on 16 years now, but wait your oldest is only going on 16.  Yep it is called when he was 4 months old I would set down with him and though he had no idea what was going on I read to him and his daddy too.  DOUBLE GASP!!!!  If I sound a little upset you would be right, but in Ephesians 4:26  "Be ye angry and sin not..."  Also let me just add that  Luke 12:48 "...For unto whosoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."  That being said here I go.  (also this is some of my main reasons for homeschooling, but not all)

FACT:  As young as kindergarden in a public school, your child WILL be taught that a man has a _____ and woman has a ______ put them together and there you have a child.

ANSWER:  Well good parents are in constante contact with the school and teacher and you can tell your school they are not to teach YOUR CHILD THAT.  MYTH:  Ok your teacher may follow your advice then again probablly NOT and when where you going to inform the other children to keep their mouths shut to your kid.   You think that your child in that great social center called school is not going to have alot of friends to tell them what they were just taught.  Someone is living in a dream world!

FACT:  You are taught that all hugging is preverted!  Common sense has left the public school (i.e. kids getting there cupcakes taken away cause of green G.I.s with GUN BIG GASP THEIR!!!!! and marine shirts being on ban, but hey that ROCK AND ROLL band with the lady with her pants down to her knees NOW THAT IS ALRIGHT)  don't even try to say it isn't allowed seen it worn and NOT ONE SCHOOL OFFICAL SAID A WORD AGAINST IT!

FACT:  Prayer not allowed, BUT MUSLIMS can.  OOoooh and let's not forget the FISH FRIDAYS FOR THE CATHOLICS!!!!!  BUT CHRISTIANS KEEP YOUR GOD TO YOURSELF.  (christian take the bow)

FACT:  History can and WILL be changed to suit whoever views are pushed the strongest!!!!

FACT:  There is no discipline, no safety in the children knowing the boundaries.  I am not talking soully about spanking (but there is a place for it)  I am talking about the hug a student may need in the middle of a day when things are falling apart before them.  I am talking about the stern look they need when they may have crossed a line and need to back track.  I am talking about the time out we all need from time to time to regroup our thoughts and try again.

Theses are just a view examples, but christians were we ever to really be involved in the first place.  Does God really say how we are REALLY to raise our children?  The answer to that is OF COURSE!!!

Deuteronomy 6:6 & 7" And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

This is near impossible if your children are gone from you for 8 to 9 hours a day not including if they are in sports or other activities.  Oh don't forget homework time.

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it"

Ephesians 6:4 "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

II Timothy 3:15 "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."

Shall I go on.  So what am I saying.  Point blank I expect the world to be what it is full of sinners and against anything God.  BUT I do expect God's people to stand up behind us and support us.  Are we perfect?  NOPE.  Is homeschooling better than the alternative?  Yes.  GASP!!!!!!!!! AGAIN.  HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT?!  I dare cause God's way is ALWAYS BETTER THAN MAN'S

II Chronicles 7:14

"There are many today who believe that if we will write enough congressmen, march enough times in front of abortion clinics, get enough men to march on Washington and other cities, and get the right president, pick up two miles of trash off the highway, build up attendance by contemporary singing and building a large gymnasium, that we would have God's favor on us.  This is not so.  Only by humbling ourselves and praying and seeking God's face and turning from our wicked ways will God forgive our sin and heal our land.  I believe that America would have already been destroyed if it had not been for the remnant who obeyed 2 Chronicles 7:14"

This was taken from the book that my husband has been reading and when he read the blog I posted last night he went right to this book and read me this.  The book was Percy Ray:  A Ray for God written by Dr. Estus W. Pirkle.  I don't believe in coincidence I believe in God speaking.  Are we listening?

Pray up or Shut up!

My heart is truly broken tonight.  I see so many Christians either walking away or turning away from His blessed old book.  I see Christians mad about the country and what has happened to her, but we, as God's people have turned away.  We have stopped talking to God and started telling God what we are going to do.  "Well if they take our guns away I'll do this and say that!"  "Well if they legalize gay marriage I'll do this and say that!"  "Well if they try and take my God given rights I'll do this and say that!"  Hmm yep you will do what YOU will do and YOU will say YOUR WORDS, but will they be God's.  Matthew 10:18-20 "And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.  But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak:  for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.  For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you."  God also tells us very plainly in II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble   themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;  then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."  You want to see change Christians then please stop, turn, PRAY, and seek!  It is the only way things will change.  Are you up for the challenge?

Lately the Lord has been giving me a lot of different things to blog.  Kinda scary and neat all rolled up into one.  Have you ever seen the stop smoking commerical where the toddler is on the swing and left all along she starts crying cause she lost sight of mommy.  Better yet how many of us mommy's have witnessed our toddler loose sight of us for one min. and to them their world has ended.  Now we new just where they were and we knew they were not in harms way, but for that brief moment they are lost to themselves.  Sometimes it is just a matter of them turning themselves around and seeing that mommy or daddy was right behind them the whole time.  Of course we roll our eyes at them, hug them and assure them we are right here.  I wounder how many times our Heavenly Daddy has hugged us and said I am right here where I always am.  Maybe we are the child that has wondered away from God and now we are wondering how did I get here.  Am I truly saved?  Yes I know I am but how did I get in this much sin.  Well, friend it is you have wondered away from the Father and you must STOP your sin, turn around and go back to where you left the Saviour side.  God's word says in James 4:8 "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.  Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded."  When we stop the sin, ask for forgiveness, and start walking toward God, it isn't long before we find ourselves in the arms of our loving Father.

I also see in Ephesians 6:10-18 we are to put on the whole armour of God.  If we have to put it on that tells me we sometimes take it off.  Have you taken off your armour and fallen into sin?  Now we know we can't take off our salvation, but the other armour can come off, but only if we take it off.  How does the armour come off?  Simply by not reading our bible and praying.  As mommas we have just as much responsibility to be a witness to our children as the daddy's.  It takes prayer, reading God's word and setting the right example.  If we simple read the word that is not enough, the bible wants us to be doers of the word not just hearers only James 1:22-27.  There are also times when we parents have taught through example those things that don't please the Father and that are sins.  We must then teach our children the need for forgiveness.  For many years I have heard it said, "Well once they reach this age it's too late to teach them different"  I want to tell you right here and now that is HOG WASH.  It may be harder for them to learn a new thing and stop the sin but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

I want to encourage you right now.  If you are in sin, turn around, confess it, and run back to where you left you heavenly Father.  I can guarantee He is right where you left Him.

Pigs Fly?!

Yes!  I think pigs are learning to fly.  I have been for about a year ( I know you are thinking A YEAR hence the title)  on a home management binder.  Now I don't know if it is going to work, but I thought it was worth a try.  In my binder is my budget, my couponing stuff, homeschooling, and quite time with the Lord.  Later I am planning to add my special projects that I would like to try, but I thought I should start with the basics and move on as I got use to the ones I have.  So far I have seen what I spent in one month and now know I need to work on lower that alot.  But I am proud that I am beginning to see progress, even if they are baby steps.

Worry Wart Itiz

Yes folks I have that dreaded disease called Worry Wart Itiz.  Is it contagious?  Yes, sometimes it is.  As I watch these beautiful teens of mine grow, I know my time as a mommy has slowly ended and I am becoming hey mom.  What I mean is they are going to want and need more freedom away from momma and daddy bird.  But as I journey down this road I am learning the more I lean into the arms of my Heavenly Father the more I am learning trusting Him doesn't hurt as much as I once thought it would.  As I stroll through God's word and truely rest in God I am finding the things I have always wanted in my marriage, motherhood, and as a saved child of God period has always been at my fingertips the whole time, but I was never able to see it until I started obeying, following, trusting and yes sometimes just standing very still and listening to the Saviour whisper.  When my worries start (which I am human and usually do) I have learned enough to stop, look up, and cry for that blessed peace He gives.

"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."  Psalm 55:22

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JE-HO'VAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my slavation." Isaiah 12:2

Babies, Teens and Eaglets Flying Lessons

FLYING LESSONS what on earth are you talking about Kimberly.  (Giggling) Well let me explain.  As I watch my young teens I can't help but see them growing and flourishing.  I have heard all the arguing of how Dennis and I should do this or teach them that.  Their growing up antisocial they need to go to public school or they need to spend the night here or there.  They need to gather around kids their own age or they need to hang around this group more.  Soo I look at the Word of God and I start praying as only a mommy can pray.  I start to hear my loving husband take them under his loving wings and tell our loving teens to be friendly to all girls and boys alike.  I see this man lead by example and just not talk.  Does this man really know what he's doing?  Yeah I think he does he is doing exactly what I've been doing P-R-A-Y-I-N-G and following God.  I have seen my young teen start to blossom into manhood (don't you dare tell Jacob I said that might go to his head) and a young ladyhood.  Am I scared?  Sorta cause I do know that while we are teaching them to fly they will leave our little nest one day, but you know if they have learned that God will always, always, always be in their corner then we have taught them what is truely important.  And I know they are always safe in His Loving Hands.  How am I so sure?  Cause that is who is teaching and keeping me and that man I love soo much safe and protected.  I have to admit I forget from time to time who is really in charge but that's when my best friend and buddy (hubby) puts his loving arms around me and says God will take care of it Kimberly.

Deuteronomy 6:7 "And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up."

We are to always be pointing our children in the direction of God.  Our hearts should be pointed toward and following God.  Always teaching.  Always being the example.

Isaiah 40:29-31 "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall;  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Us people too many times don't want to wait.  We want to see the results and we want to see them like yesterday.  We forget that God doesn't care about time.  The young should have the right to grow at their own pace.  I don't mean they should be left to their own devises, but I do mean that we have to give their wings time to grow.  If you have ever seen mountain eagles when they are teaching their young to fly.  They don't just kick them from the nest.  It is a process.  One way they teach their young to fly is they will let the eaglet fall for a little while and then they will take turns swooping under the eaglet, catching it and let it ride on them for a little while and then let them fall again.  I have found in all this I too need to let God teach me to fly in prayer and bible reading, but that is another story.  I guess what I am trying to say is pray for your teens.  There is alot of temptation for them to fall into.  Teach your teens who they should run to in times of troubles.  Yes of course us the parents, but more importantly to God, they need to know how to talk to Him and pray to Him.  And most importantly give them time.

Strolling with the Father,
Kimberly
